A Participatory Methodology: Multiple Negotiations and Reconfigurations of Relations between Partners. Participatory Mapping in the Marquesas Archipelago

English

The implementation of research focusing on citizen participation leads us to raise questions about the role of researchers, relations between partners and the effects of devices. This reflection is based on the PALIMMA research project, which concerns the protection and management of cultural heritage relating to the sea. We identify each step of the project: the construction and implementation of the methodology, the finalization of the data, and the feedback workshop. Partners are identified and relationships between group members are discussed.
