Women on the move to keep working-class neighborhoods in check. The case of a participatory approach: exploratory walks

Based on interviews and observations, this article focuses on exploratory walks, a single-sex participatory system aimed at increasing the presence of women in urban spaces. Observing that in France this policy is in fact limited to the “priority neighborhoods,” this article examines the presuppositions and effects of this spatialization, at the intersection of representations of gender, class, and territory.
